UTMSF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Christian youth, currently attending a college or university, are able to request financial assistance from the Ulysees Turner Memorial Scholarship Fund, Inc. Please submit all completed documents to Mrs. Joanna Durry here. You will receive a response indicating that the application has been received in between two-four weeks. Please govern yourself accordingly. An approval or denial of this scholarship will not occur immediately. Consideration for this award is based upon the requested award amount and availability of funding. 

CAROLYN L. BROWNE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

The Ulysees Turner Memorial Scholarship Fund, Inc. is pleased to announce the availability of the Carolyn L. Browne Memorial Scholarship Award.  This award has been established in memory of Carolyn L. Browne, daughter of Deacon Major W. and Mrs. Beatrice Pryor Chatman. 

Award Amount $1,000

Student Eligibility/Conditions:

• Must be an active member of Lilydale First Baptist Church, and enrolled as a junior or senior in good academic standing at a college or university.
• Grade point average of 3.0 or higher
• Submit the following:
  • Completed application.
  • College transcript
  • 400–500 word typed essay describing educational goals and future plans
• Award must be applied toward tuition, books, fees, room and board or initial down payment towards registration or tuition.
• Students may submit their application, transcripts, and essay by email to utmsf@att.net. Transcripts should be forwarded from a school portal to the utmsf@att.net email account.  
  A hardcopy transcript is acceptable if provided in a sealed university envelope to Mrs. Leilani Howell or Ms. Gerolyn Hudson.  
• Maximum age for students to apply is 23.
